LIVERMORE FALLS — Treat Memorial Library plans to hold Online Story Time on its Facebook page at 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday, starting Feb. 9.
A special Valentine’s Story Time is planned. For those interested, take-home Valentine craft kits will be available at the library, located at 56 Main St. Livermore Falls.
Library staff will share their recommendations at noon Saturday, Feb. 5 and 19, on Facebook. A “Blind Date with a Book” also will be available. Participants can select a wrapped mystery book from the display; a different mystery date book will be featured on Tuesdays in February on the Facebook page.
The Book Club continues its Food in Fiction series in February. The selection this month is the romance “Like Water for Chocolate” by Laura Esquirel. The Zoom discussion will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10. Participants should let staff know if they would like a copy of the book being discussed, as well as an email invite to the Zoom meeting.
The library will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 22, in observance of President’s Day.
Due to high levels of community transmission, masks are required at all times in the library regardless of vaccination status. Masks are available at the door for those who need them. Visits are limited to 30 minutes. Curbside service will still be available.
For more information, call the library at 897-3631.
Comments are not available on this story. Read more about why we allow commenting on some stories and not on others.
We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
