The second of the annual five-part Winter Horticulture Series, presented online in partnership with the Camden Public Library, is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1.
Tom Seymour will present “Foraging — My Favorite Wild Edibles.” In addition to writing his garden column, From The Ground Up, for Courier Publications since the mid-1990s, Seymour is also an author with 14 titles to his credit, including “Foraging New England” and “Foraging Mushrooms Maine,” according to a news release from the library.
He conducts foraging seminars for public entities and individuals, and he has taught foraging at Eagle Hill Institute in Gouldsboro. He is also a pastor and musician at the Frankfort Congregational Church.
The free horticultural talks are held at 9:30 a.m. each Tuesday through Feb. 22, and are open to everyone.
Tuesday, Jan. 25 was to mark the beginning of the series this year with Stacey Keefer presenting “Birds, Bugs and Botanicals Nature Photography.”
Upcoming events in the series include “A Virtual Walk Through Camden,” “Monarchs, Milkweed and Migration” and “Lasagna Gardening” for the home gardener.
The Zoom link to attend is available at librarycamden.org with pre-registration required for each event.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
