Performing at Celebration Barn at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, are the student performers of Even More Ridiculous, a workshop led by Cirque du Soleil performer and director Shannan Calcutt. The performers will be showcasing work that has been created under Calcutt’s award-winning direction. This show is intended for adult audiences.
Calcutt is best known for her work as both a clown and director of Cirque du Soleil’s long-running Vegas strip show, Zumanity. As an instructor, she has won multiple awards, including Best of Las Vegas 2019 and Guest Instructor of the Year at Vegas Theatre Hub. The Orlando Tribune has praised Calcutt, saying, “Her fearlessness is breathtaking,” and Canada’s CBC TV says, “Calcutt remains the finest worker of audiences of anyone I’ve seen”.
At Celebration Barn, she is working with students from across the country as they delve into the art of clowning. I’ve Got Your Back will be a showcase of everything that the students have been working on during their time with Calcutt at Celebration Barn.
This is an 18-plus show. The free tickets are general admission.
All patrons attending a show at Celebration Barn must present proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 and a matching photo ID. A booster shot, while recommended by the CDC, is not required in order to attend a show at this time. Attendees 4 and under are only required to wear a mask.
