Constance Annette Whitney

LEWISTON – C. Annette Whitney, 74, of South Paris passed away on Feb. 6, 2022 at Central Maine Medical Center.

Annette was born on August 29, 1947, in Skowhegan. She was the daughter of Frank Merrill and Beatrice LeClair Merrill. She graduated high school from Madison High School in Madison. After high school, she married her high school sweetheart, Joel Whitney, also from Madison. Joel and Annette were happily married for 34 years, until Joel passed away suddenly in 2004. She was later reunited with Frank Stoutamyer of Madison and South Paris, at a high school reunion, and Frank and Annette were civilly united for the past eight years.

Annette is survived by her sons Scott (Elizabeth Whitney) of Hagerstown, Md., Chris (Mary Anne Whitney) of Las Vegas, her daughter, Jill, of Hilliard, Ohio; five grandchildren, Lexi Whitney of Columbia, S.C., Olivia Whitney of Nashport, Ohio, Arthur Joel Whitney of Hagerstown, Md., and Robbie and Zachary Whitney of Las Vegas; brothers Mike (Renee Merrill) of San Antonio, and David (Diane Merrill) of Vergennes, Vt.

The family would like to thank the healthcare professionals and doctors from Stephen’s Memorial Hospital in Norway and Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston for the compassionate care and attention that was paid to our mom. They would also like to thank Frank Stoutamyer for opening his home and his heart to our mom so she could continue to live her best and happiest life.
