Barbara F. Carney

PORTLAND – Barbara F. Carney, 94, died peacefully on Feb. 8, 2022, at Seventy-Five State Street, Portland, with her daughter, Lisa and son-in-law, Robert Montgomery by her side.

Barbara was born in Augusta on Nov. 27, 1927, to Henry T. and Yvonne S. (Rodrigue) Carney.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Lisa Montgomery and son-in-law Robert Montgomery of Portland and Falmouth, Michael Meyer, stepson, of Port Richey, Fla.; several nieces and nephews, and cousins; and MeeMee, her loveable cat.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents; two sisters, Beverly Chapman and Christine Robson, and her brother, James Carney; and two stepsons, Darryl and Kenneth Meyer.

At Barbara’s request, no service will be held. We would like to thank everyone at Seventy-Five State Street as well as Beacon Hospice of South Portland for all their love, support, and compassion.
