WINTHROP – M. Annette McGowan died peacefully at Seal Rock Healthcare Nursing Home in Saco on Feb. 4, 2022.

Annette was born July 2, 1937, in Skowhegan, the daughter of Eva (Barrieault) and Raymond J. Belliveau and graduated from Skowhegan High School class of 1955. She married Ronald McGowan in May 1957 and they had three children.

Annette was predeceased by her parents Eva and Raymond Belliveau; and her loving husband of 55 years, Ronald F. McGowan

Annette is survived by her daughters Julie A. Noble and her husband, Bob of Saco, and JoEllen Lincoln of Readfield, and son, Raymond F. McGowan and his wife, Karen of Midlothian Va. Annette had five grandchildren, Matthew, Caitlin, Austin, Chelsea, and Ryan; and one great-grandson, Myles Grady McGowan and great-granddaughter, who is due any day, in Michigan.

Annette retired from Carleton Woolen Mills in 2000 as human resource manager. She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Winthrop. Annette loved music; she played piano and had a beautiful voice. She sang at weddings and funerals and also directed the church choir at Norte Dame de Lourdes Church in Skowhegan and at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Winthrop. Annette’s greatest love was her family.

There will be no visiting hours. A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Winthrop with Reverend Frank Morin Celebrant. A luncheon will follow at the Parish Hall. Burial and committal prayers will be held Friday, July 15 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery, Route 150 (North Avenue) in Skowhegan.
