Euncie Edith (McLaughlin) Forbus
CORNVILLE – Euncie Edith (McLaughlin) Forbus, 89, passed away Jan. 17, 2022. She was born August 20, 1932 in Athens, the daughter of Ervin K. and Edith M. (Flewelling) McLaughlin.
She attended Athens Academy and over the years worked in various positions including being self-employed in sales such as real estate and Amway. Her more recent positions were with Walmart, Goodwill Hinckley and Cornville Spurwink. She was a notary public. She attended of the Cross Roads Bible Church. Eunice loved her cats and dogs, oil painting, bird watching, traveling, collecting stamps, coins, rocks, recipes and people. She seemed to know everyone and always had a good word or two for those she did not know. She took many adult education classes such as sign language, oil painting and quilting. She held a white belt in karate.
Eunice is survived by daughters, Katrina Griffeth and husband Lester of Norridgewock, Cynthia Hess of Cornville, Lynna Beane and husband Steve of Skowhegan, Nicolette Currier of Norridgewock, son, Joel Forbus and wife Christine of Athens; grandchildren, Lisa Deroche, Laura Moody, Lauana Braley, Ron Moody, Melissa Moody, Charlotte Roy, Richard Roy, Thomas Roy, Katie Huggler, David Beane, Joleen Brown, Jason Forbus, Steven Beane, Sara Forbus, Trisha Forbus, Kirsten Braley, Michele McGowan and their spouses/partners; many great and great great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022 (storm date March 6, 2022) at 1 p.m. at the Elks Club in Skowhegan with a pot luck meal.
