Geraldine Davis
PITTSFIELD – Geraldine Davis, 90, died peacefully at home on Feb. 18, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.Geraldine was born on Feb. 13, 1932, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lula (Longstaff) Gifford. She grew up on the grounds of the Goodwill Hinckley School and graduated from Averill High School with the class of 1950. She worked for many years at the family business, Maine Fence Company, and got to travel extensively with her husband, Don.Geraldine’s family was her pride and joy. She loved the get-togethers that they shared for holidays and special birthdays. She enjoyed cooking, spending time at the family camp, feeding the birds, completing word puzzles and watching the Lawrence Welk Show on Saturday nights. She tended beautiful flower gardens and plants and had a deep love for pets. She had a bright smile and an unforgettable laugh that would light up a room. She was a member of the Arts Club and the First Baptist Church in Pittsfield. She is in the Lord’s house now.She is survived by her son, Barry Bishop and partner Holly; daughter-in-law, Mary; stepdaughter, Dawnie; grandchildren: Tyler, Christina and partner Jason, and Ben and wife Destiny; great-grandchildren: Colby, Autumn, Dakota, Nathan, LB, and Paityn; nieces and nephews; and special friend, Jeanie.She was predeceased by her parents; her first husband, Donald Bishop; her second husband, Niles Davis; her son, Terry; sister, Eleanor, brother, Carroll; great grandson, Theron Bishop; and mother-in-law, Hilda Chadbourne.The family would like to extend a special thank you to her remarkable caregivers: Sally, her granddaughter Christina, Nurse Nikki, all the Northern Light Hospice Team, and good friend and childhood neighbor, Nurse Suzy.A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2022, at the Goodwill Hinckley Cemetery in Fairfield, with Rev.
