Susan Gail (Kazerman) Turgeon

NORRIDGEWOCK – Susan was born to the late Murray and Rose (Gibbs) Kazerman in Winthrop, Mass. on March 7, 1946.

She moved with her family to Norridgewock in 1980 and immediately fell in love with the area and its beautiful landscape and people. She spent her career as a State employee working in the Department of Labor in Skowhegan and later in Augusta.

Susan was known to all as an avid reader, music lover and had such a wide-ranging command of trivia that she could never be beaten in Trivial Pursuit! The only thing bigger than Susan’s love of reading and music was the love she had for her family and friends. She was always available to talk, was a shoulder to cry on, and had advice ready on hand, whether you wanted to hear it or not.

Susan was blessed with a loving family that was both given and chosen. She was predeceased by her husband Richard Turgeon and will be deeply missed by her daughter Melanie Croce-Galis and husband Raymond, her daughter Kimberly Croce and Caleb Cook, and her daughter of the heart Ida Brown and husband Tom.

Susan treasured her grandchildren and adored being Bubbe to Trajan and Julian Croce-Galis and Nana to Cassandra McChord. Her Waterville Hill family was something that she truly cherished and kept her in her Norridgewock home for over 40 years.

Memorial services for Susan will be held on April 9 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at T&B Celebration Center, 414 Madison Ave., Skowhegan.
