Clifford A. Crocker

GARDINER – Clifford A. Crocker, 79, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday Feb. 23, 2022. Cliff was born on Feb. 21, 1943 in Gardiner to Clifford and Helen (Moody) Crocker.

Cliff attended Gardiner schools where he met his high school sweetheart Patricia (Decker). Cliff and Pat were happily married for 50 years before her passing in 2011.

Cliff loved his grandchildren and had a special bond with his granddaughter Heidi who he spent a lot of time with creating memories. Heidi helped take care of him until his passing. Cliff was also a loving and devoted husband who purchased a wheelchair accessible van to take Pat out on weekend adventures while she was living in a nursing home.

In Cliff’s younger years he had many jobs and then went on to have a 36-year career with the Maine Department of Transportation.

Cliff was predeceased by his wife Patricia; father Clifford and mother Helen.

Cliff is survived by his daughter Sherrie Cameron and husband John of West Gardiner, daughter Terrie Towle and husband William of Dresden; grandson John Cameron and wife Mary of West Gardiner, granddaughter Jessica Fyfe and husband Ervin of Pittston, grandson William Towle and wife Chelsey of Randolph, grandson Adam Towle and wife Jennifer of Pittston, granddaughter Heidi Towle of Dresden; and great-grandchildren Amanda and John Cameron Jr, Renee, Logan and Jensen Fyfe, Connor and Madison Towle, Brentley and Ava Towle, and stepgreat-grandson Tyler Fyfe. He is also survived by a brother Roger Crocker of Amarillo, Texas.

The family wants to thank Doctor Ramon Cheleuitte for his years of care and compassion, and Woodlands Senior Living of Hallowell for their care the last year and a half.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 23, at 11 a.m., at Oak Grove Cemetery, in Gardiner.
