Maine Event Comedy plans to present Mark Scalia at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at Johnson Hall Theater, 280 Water St. in Gardiner. The show also will feature Krystal Dyer and JJ Jones.
Since starting his career in Boston, Scalia has entertained thousands of people across the U.S. and Canada. Scalia is the founder of the Salem Comedy Festival and has performed at Stand-Up New York, The Dallas Improv, Catch a Rising Star, and Comic Strip Live in New York City. As an emcee and corporate host/facilitator, Scalia’s client list includes Def Jam, Lego, and Virgin. He is an accomplished actor, director, voice-over artist, and the host of his weekly radio show Radio Irregardless.
Dyer’s quick wit and funny spin on divorce, dating in her 40s, and raising boys have endeared her to many audiences. She has won and placed in comedy contests at the Hartford Funny Bone and is a regular at Comix Roadhouse at Mohegan Sun.
Jones is a Boston-based stand-up comic and stepdad. He is unapologetically sarcastic and has opened for Lenny Clarke, Todd Barry, and Jaime Lee.
Tickets cost $18 for adults, $16 for seniors, and may be purchased at johnsonhall.org or by calling the office at 207-582-7144.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
