
Roger Lewis Brown
SKOWHEGAN – Roger Lewis Brown, 76, passed away at his home with his family by his side on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. Roger was born on Dec. 11, 1945 in Skowhegan, the son of Clayton Lewis Brown and Marie Eva (Nadeau) Brown.
Roger attended Solon School. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Marine Corp from 1964-1968. He worked for numerous logging companies after returning from the service. He was also a self-employed as a truck driver for many years. Roger was a member of the American Legion Post #16 serving as Second Vice Commander, Life Member of VFW Post #7865 and a lifetime member of the NRA.
Roger enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed meeting with the McDonald’s crew for breakfast. He also enjoyed having a Friday lunch date with his daughter, Julie, and being served by his favorite waitress, Caroline.
Roger is survived by four daughters, Julie McNally and spouse Wayne, and Jody Brown all of Moscow, Jennifer Brown and Alyssa Brown of Manassas, Va.; four grandchildren, Austin McNally and fiancé Malynn Lancaster of Solon, Michael McNally of Farmington, Skylar Washington and Kai Freeman of Manassas, Va.; two sisters, Deanna Gilblair of Skowhegan and Robin Robinson of Dover-Foxcroft, and one brother, Ronald Brown of Solon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Roger was predeceased by his parents; and two sisters, Darlene McEwen and Linda Breingan.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the American Legion Post #16, Skowhegan.
Arrangements under the care and direction of Dan & Scott’s Cremation & Funeral Service 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan.
