Gardiner’s Gardeners, part of Gardiner Main Street’s Streetscape Team, is looking for new volunteers to help with making the downtown and public parks all they can be.
The team seeks those who enjoy planting, tending, watering and weeding, according to a news release from Gardiner Main Street.
The team is scheduled to meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, to plan its summer projects at the Gardiner Common on Dresden Avenue. All are welcome, and green thumbs are not a requirement.
For more information, email [email protected] or call 207-582-3100.
Those who are interested in helping out but can’t make the meeting can get in touch with the team online at gardinermainstreet.org/volunteer.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
