The Rangeley Friends of the Arts has received a grant from the Onion Foundation to host storytelling workshops, which are scheduled to be held twice a month with an opportunity to perform monthly.
Participants can craft their story with Rangeley Lakes Regional School English Teacher Tim Straub.
Participants should come to the workshop with some ideas for their own true-life story. They can learn to craft their story into its best presentation.
Workshops are set for 3-4 p.m. Saturday May 7, and 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, with a performance set for 7 p.m. Saturday, May 21.
All workshops and performances will be at the RFA Lakeside Theater, 2493 Main St. in Rangeley.
There is no fee for the workshops. There will be tickets sold for the performances, money from which will help underwrite the workshops. Those interested should email Straub at [email protected].

Comments are not available on this story. Read more about why we allow commenting on some stories and not on others.
We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
