John F. Witham

GORHAM – “The man who always smiled.” – John F. Witham, 78, passed away in Gorham, Maine, at the Gorham House Cottage on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, surrounded by love. Witham was born in Brentwood, New Hampshire, on Aug. 19, 1943, to Morris and Isabelle (Fontain) Witham. He earned his GED at the age of 40 in Deerfield, New Hampshire. John previously worked as a factory worker. John enjoyed watching the Red Sox with his roommate and you could always find a smile on his face. He was predeceased by his parents, Morris, and Isabelle (Fontain) Witham and his wife of 40-plus years, Beverly Braley Witham, who he spoke of with the utmost love. He is survived by his three children, Mark, John Peter, and Jennifer, and multiple grandchildren. He also leaves behind all the individuals who became family at the Gorham House Cottage. John Witham will be buried beside his wife, Beverly, in Brighton, Maine. Burial will follow in the Spring of 2022. Celebration of Life will be held at the Gorham House Cottage, please contact the Home, if you wish to attend. John would like to thank; Isabelle Harvey, his primary caregiver, who he loved and cherished.
