The Palermo Community Library is sponsoring a drive-up chili fundraiser, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at the 2789 Route 3 library.
The cost is $7 for a meal with homemade chili (spicy, mild or meatless), according to a news release from the library.
Orders will be accepted by calling 207-993-2040, 207-314-5930, or leave a voicemail at 207-993-6088.
Additional 12-ounce servings of chili can be purchased for $5 each. Orders will be delivered curbside, right to each car.
While an order is being filled, people can purchase tickets to take a chance on a charcuterie board raffle at $1 per ticket or six for $5. A complete list of the raffle’s contents will be listed on the library website.
The event’s storm date is Sunday, April 10.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
