Paul Keith Vitalone

ATHENS – Paul Keith Vitalone, 74, passed away on March 26, 2022, at his home in Athens surrounded by his family. He was born Dec. 11, 1947, in Skowhegan, the son of Peter P and Alice Mae (Searles) Vitalone.

He graduated from Skowhegan Area High School in 1967. While in attendance he participated in sports including football, track, and wrestling where he placed 2nd in the state. On Nov. 14, 1970, he married Deborah Sirois in Skowhegan.

He was a veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969 and was awarded the Silver Star and Bronze Star. He was honorably discharged in 1969.

He lived a simple life and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his family, the Vitalone Annual 4th of July Pig Roast, and working on cars.

Paul is survived by his wife of 51 years, Deborah (Sirois) Vitalone of Athens; daughter Carrie Collins and husband Raymond of Athens with their son Josh; daughter Angelina Davis and husband Sam of Starks with their daughters Erika, Mikaela, Jenna, and grandson Seth; daughter Melanie Mercier and husband David of Athens and their children Sarah, Jeff, Scott, Cody, Elena, and Tristan; son Paul Vitalone II and wife Melissa of Skowhegan with their children Devin and Kaiden; son Roger Vitalone of Skowhegan with his daughters Mya and Alexandria; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and brothers Peter J Vitalone, Walter A Vitalone, Michael W Vitalone, and Stanley B Vitalone.
