MADISON – Mary Reed passed away on April 2, 2022. Mary was born in Massachusetts to Wilfred and Gwendolyn Reed. They moved up to North Anson in the 1950s. Mary was a hard worker and held many jobs over her 85 years. She worked at various shoe shops such as Lighthouse Footwear, and Dexter Shoe in her younger days. Mary’s last job was an independent contractor for the Morning Sentinel. Mary delivered papers for over 40 years. Over the years she won many contests for building up her route, she loved her customers and there were many dog bones given to the customers who had dogs. Mary gave up delivering papers in 2022 just a few months before her passing. Mary loved animals and had many cats and dogs over the years. She used to raise chickens and sell the eggs.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Wilfred in 1979 and Gwendolyn in 1980. Mary will be buried with her parents in Oak Pond Cemetery.
