Jeffrey Evans Hall
JACKMAN – I am sad to announce that on April 6, 2022, my son, Jeffrey Evans Hall, passed away at the age of 59 after a brief illness. He was born Nov. 1, 1962. Growing up, Jeff was an avid fly fisherman, tying most of his flies.
Together, we enjoyed many fishing trips up in Northern Quebec. He also liked to ice fish and hunt in the fall. As a teenager, Jeff won many trophies snowmobile racing that had us traveling state wide and out of state as well. He played basketball in high school. Until he was 21, he worked for me as a scaler in my logging operation.
At the age of 21, Jeff suffered a spinal cord injury in a tragic automobile accident that resulted in his becoming quadriplegic. He spent two years in Virginia for rehabilitation. Against all odds, he enrolled in college, spending one year at Unity College and five years at University of Maryland, studying environmental science.
He then moved to Portland where he lived for many years, eventually returning to Jackman to live with his mother.
He was predeceased by his mother, Margaret Pomerleau.
He is survived by his father, Gary Hall and his wife Lisa; his brothers Gary, David (Maria) and Eric (Chelsea), two sisters, Laura Hall Allen and Darcy Connors, as well as many cousins and nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held June 18 at the Jackman Hotel from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home and Cremation Services. To leave a condolence for the family and to view the online obituary, please visit http://www.gibersonfuneralhome.com.
