Philip G. Bussiere
SKOWHEGAN – Philip G. Bussiere, 58, passed away April 9, 2022, at Redington-Fairview General Hospital with his family by his side. He was born Jan. 27, 1964, in Lewiston, the son of Robert and Joan Bussiere. Phil worked for Central Maine Power and Hahnel Brother’s Sheet Metal prior to owning his sheet metal company for 24 years. He was a member of the IBEW Local 104 for 10 years. He was determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. Family activities growing up included camping, hockey, snowmobiling, fishing, dirt biking and skiing. He was a long-standing private pilot. Anyone who knew Phil knew that he would be the first to help a friend in need. He was excited to spend the rest of his life with his family. Phil is survived by wife of 36 years Nancy Bussiere of Skowhegan, children Christine Tarpen and husband Jeremy Tarpen of Norridgewock, Katie Gilson and husband Zach Gilson of Canaan and Thomas, Allison and Jacob Bussiere of Skowhegan, grandchildren Claire, Abigail and Lucas, sister Judy Dube and husband David Dube of Florence, AZ, brother Gary Bussiere of Lewiston, nephews and nieces, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by parents Robert and Joan Bussiere of Lewiston, sister Susan and brother Gregory. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 1-3 p.m. at Poulin Turner Union Hall in Skowhegan.
