Rangeley Friends of the Arts plans to offer storytelling workshops in May, June and July at the RFA Lakeside Theater, 2493 Main St., unless otherwise noted.
Participants should come to the workshop with some ideas for their own story — something that really happened them, according to a news release from the art group.
Because it’s a true story, there are no lines that need to be memorized. In the workshop participants can learn to craft their story into its best presentation.
Storytelling workshops are scheduled for: 3 p.m. Saturday, May 7; 5 p.m. May 18, June 23, 30; noon July 16 at SoJo’s Maker’s Space studio, 2487 Main St.; 5 p.m. July 21 at SoJo’s Maker’s Space studio, 2487 Main St.
Performance dates (The Kitchen Table) are scheduled for: 7 p.m. May 21, July 8 and Aug. 5.
There is no fee for the workshops. Anyone interested should email Tim Straub at [email protected]. For more information, email [email protected].

Comments are not available on this story. Read more about why we allow commenting on some stories and not on others.
We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
