Elizabeth Conary

GARDINER – Elizabeth Conary, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 11, 2022 after spending time at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing at Graybirch for a few years.

Elizabeth was born in Kennebunk in 1935, the daughter of Franklin and Carrie (Johnson) Russell.

Elizabeth was for many years involved in health care work at a local nursing home. In their retirement, many people would see Albert and Elizabeth walking to downtown Gardiner from their home on Iron Mine Hill to visit and see people they loved and then go back home.

She was a long time member of the Free Methodist Church in Gardiner.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, Albert Conary, in 2016. Her sister, Barbara Trott, passed on March 29, 2022.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 14 at Mount Hope Cemetery in South Gardiner, directly following the burial of her sister, Barbara Trott, at 11 a.m. in Libby Hill Cemetery, Gardiner.
