WINTHROP — Brooke McKenney tossed a one-hit shutout to lead Madison past Winthrop 14-0 in a Mountain Valley Conference softball game Tuesday.

McKenney struck out 12 batters in the win for Madison (8-1). Landyn Landry had three hits for the Bulldogs.

Winthrop falls to 4-4.

BASEBALL

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 2, RICHMOND 0: Joshua Erickson gave up four hits and struck out for over seven innings to lead the Seagulls (2-5) past the Bobcats (3-2) in Old Orchard Beach.

GIRLS LACROSSE

LINCOLN 10, WINSLOW 8: Marley LeBel scored seven goals to lead the Eagles to the win at Thomas College in Waterville.

Mariam DeLisle put up one goal and one assist for Lincoln (4-1). Celia Brinker and Lucy Fowler also scored. Addie Brinker made seven saves in net.

Winslow falls to 2-5.
