ROCKLAND — Noah Hurd tallied three hits, three runs scored and an RBI as Mount View defeated Oceanside 10-0 in baseball action Thursday.
Hunter Penney and Levi Winslow each had an RBI single for Mount View (5-4). Cole Ripley’s sacrifice fly scored Declan Knowlton, who also picked up the win on the mound, allowing one hit and striking out six in four innings.
Connor Calderwood led Oceanside (3-4) with a double and a single.
SOFTBALL
ST. DOMINIC 6, MCI 5: The Saints (9-0) scored on a wild pitch in the seventh inning to take down the Huskies (1-8) in Pittsfield.
With the scored tied 5-5 in the top-half of the seventh inning, Kathleen Dean sprinted home on a wild pitch to give St. Dom’s its first lead of the contest.
Bella Perryman hit a two-run home run for the Saints in the fifth inning to tie the game at 5-5.
From the circle, Dean earned the victory, giving up three hits and striking out 10 batters.
