AUGUSTA — Azabell Assaf scored four goals and had two assists to lead the Cony girls lacrosse team to a 16-8 win over Brunswick on Saturday.
Maci Freeman had three goals and an assist, while Raegan Bechard added three goals for the Rams (7-1).
Andrea Richardson and Sierra Prebit each had two goals.
Hannah Lay, Kelsie Carlton and Elizabeth Putnam each scored two goals for the Dragons (3-5).
BASEBALL
NOKOMIS 6, OCEANSIDE 5: Owen Upton hit a tiebreaking RBI single as the Warriors (7-3) scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to beat the Mariners (3-6) in Newport.
Duncan Oakes-Nelsen hit a pair of RBI singles for Oceanside, which got two runs in the seventh before its comeback fell short.
Mike Scharf led Nokomis with three hits.
