Nancy (Sawtelle) Wallace

FARMINGDALE – Nancy (Sawtelle) Wallace, 77, of Farmingdale died peacefully on May 12, 2022, at home. She was born in Augusta on Dec. 21, 1944, the daughter of Leroy Sawtelle Sr and Florence (Caron) Sawtelle.

Nancy graduated from Hall-Dale high school in 1964 and shortly after, became a nurse’s aide in various facilities, doing home health care. She was a tollbooth collector for the Maine Turnpike Authority for 15 years before she retired in 2010.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Wallace, daughter, Ginger Wallace; her two granddaughters, Sydney and Saydie Dayken; her brother George (Ray) Sawtelle and his wife Patricia along with several nieces and nephews.

Nancy was predeceased by brother, Leroy (Butch) Sawtelle Jr,, sister Joanne Cloutier; and her parents, Leroy and Florence Sawtelle.

Per Nancy’s wishes, a private burial will be held for family and close friends at Holy Family Cemetery in Augusta.
