Sunset Home of Waterville, governed by a board of directors, seeks individuals who have an interest in serving in the areas of residential care, building maintenance, financial expertise, and interactive skills.
The nonprofit residential care facility is dedicated to providing high quality assisted living services for older women in a safe, comfortable and dignified home-like atmosphere, according to a news release from Jeff Furlong, the board’s chairperson.
Board members support the life and vision of Sunset Home in providing skill sets that would help to maintain day-to-day operations, upkeep, and strategic future endeavors that enable the home to continue to operate at its optimum levels of excellence. Eight meetings, 60-90 minutes in length, are held per year.
Those interested can call Furlong at 207-624-1215.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
