Dana Linwood Cook

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – Dana Linwood Cook, 83, of Goose Creek, S.C., passed peacefully at home on Jan. 2, 2022, following a long illness. Dana was born June 2, 1938 to Linwood and Arlene Cook.

Dana proudly served his country in the US Army from 1957 to 1964, as Security Police. Dana enjoyed fishing, golfing and hunting. He faithfully followed the N.E. Patriots and Boston Red Sox.

Dana adored his family and was very giving of his time and energy to his beloved daughters. Everyone will miss his belly laugh and cheerful sense of humor. Dana had many close friends that he spent time with, and he cherished those friendships.

He was predeceased by his parents and two siblings, Dale Cook of Litchfield, Maine and Joanne Cook, also of Litchfield, Maine.

Dana is survived by Nancy Cook, his beloved wife of 63 years; and three daughters, Maria and James Hanson of Manchester, Pa., Karen and Philip Cambus of Goose Creek, S.C., and Dana Lee and John Lavoie of Manchester, N.H. Dana is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; as well as, several nieces and nephews.

A private burial service will be held in June 2022 at Plains Cemetery in Litchfield.
