
Raymond Edward Morang IV
RANDOLPH – Raymond Edward Morang, IV, 54, of Randolph, passed on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Maine Medical Center in Portland from health complications.
He was born in Gardiner on March 21, 1968, the son of Raymond “Skip” E. Morang, III and Gloria Jean (Pushard) Rodrigue.
Ray was a 1986 graduate from Gardiner Area High School. Raymond was a U.S. Army Veteran who proudly served his country for 6 ½ years. He was a Mason at the Bethlehem Lodge #35 in Augusta.
Ray found his second family when he went to work at E.J. Prescott in Gardiner. He was a loyal employee for over 20 years. He had so many good things to say about everyone he worked with over the years. His family is truly grateful for that. Ray was such a good person with a big heart. We will all feel this loss for a very long time. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will never be forgotten.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Raymond “Buddy” E. Morang Jr. and Lucy C. Morang; grandparents Calvin and Evelyn Pushard; uncle and aunt, Conrad and Mary (Meem) Hutchins.
Raymond is survived by his son, Raymond Edward Morang V, of Randolph; his father Raymond “Skip” E. Morang III, of Pittston, his mother, Gloria J. Rodrigue and stepfather, Francois J. Rodrigue of Canaan; sister, Tammy L. Murphy and brother-in-law, Michael Murphy, of Augusta; his nephews Sean Murphy of Randolph and Aaron Murphy of Gardiner and his niece, Breanne (Bubee) Murphy of Augusta; uncle, Donald Morang of Whitefield, aunts Diane Greenleaf of Canaan, Hazel McDougal of Waterville; as well as several cousins.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday June 24, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner, where a memorial and masonic service will be held on Saturday June 25, at 1 p.m. A private military committal service will be held at a later date.
