SOMERVILLE — Pumpkin Vine Family Farm plans to host a variety of activities for all ages from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 19, at 21 Hewett Road.
The barn will be open for visitors all day during the Dairy Month celebration, and visitors can meet its 64 baby goats.
The day’s schedule:
• Superhero ID: Upon arrival, people receive a superhero badge and try a hand at “magical” activities, and receive a gold star for each activity completed;
• Conjuring from noon to 1 p.m.: Learn how to make that milk appear during a hand-milking demonstration and practice;
• Shape-Shifting starting at 1:30 p.m.: Turn a liquid into a solid with cheese-making demonstration and samples;
• Super Sleuth ongoing all day: Learn how to tell the difference between cow and goat milk with a taste test;
• Alchemy ongoing all day: Try making dairy gold, butter-making; and
• Magic potions: Mix and dab to make a creation with milk art.

A farmers’ market runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekly; every Sunday local farmers bring their baked goods, organic vegetables, mushrooms, plants, fiber, local meat, cheese, yogurt, smoothies and milk.
This event is free and open to the public; donations to the farm’s educational events are welcome.
