The Gardiner Nazarene Church invites children to Rocky Railway Bible Camp, a free summer event for children.
The camp is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, June 20-24, at the 6 Nazarene Way church, with a picnic and celebration on Sunday, June 26.
Children can participate in Bible-learning activities, play teamwork-building games, devour treats, sing and dance to catchy songs, experience Bible Adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies, make creative crafts and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos, according to a news release from Pastor Vanessa Bettancourt.
Each day concludes with the Rocky Wrap-Up that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned.
Rocky Railway Camp is for ages 3-12, registration is available online at gardinernazarene.org.
Helpers older than 13 also are invited, and their volunteer hours may count towards community service requirements for their local schools.
For more information, call the church at 207-582-5107.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
