William Paul Kowalski

FARMINGTON, Conn. – William Paul Kowalski, 86, of Farmington, Conn. best friend and beloved husband of Patricia (Bonadies) Kowalski passed peacefully into the hands of the lord on June 29, 2022.

He was born in Hartford, Conn. to the late William P. Kowalski and Lillian (Gesnaldo) Kowalski. In 1950 Bill and his family moved from Hartford, Conn. to Gardner. There, he graduated from Gardner High School where he excelled in three sports and was captain of his basketball team.

After attending the University of Maine, he returned to Connecticut and married his junior high school sweetheart, Pat, and started working at the Hartford Electric Light Co. In 1992, he retired from Northeast Utilities (now Eversource) after a successful 37-year career where he was an Industrial and Commercial Energy Consultant serving the Hartford, Conn. area, as well as the state of Connecticut.

Bill was an avid sports fan. He served as Vice President of the West Hartford Youth Basketball League for five years and coached West Hartford little league as well.

Besides sports, Bill enjoyed gardening, traveling, and cooking. He and his wife Pat also enjoyed 15 years at their vacation home on Cape Cod.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his five children, Lynne Blais and her husband Michael of Berlin, Conn., Paul and his wife Heather of Haverhill, Mass., John and his wife Jennifer of Clearwater, Fla., Steven of Boston, Mass., and Marianne Forti and her husband Tom of Baton Rouge, La. He is also survived by his 14 beloved grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated directly at St. Mary Star of The Sea Church, 145 Main St. in Unionville, Conn., Saturday, July 2 at 11 a.m.
