AUGUSTA — The Friends of Lithgow Library seeks gently used books, audios, CDs and DVDs for a book sale planned from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday Aug. 18, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, and from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday Aug. 20, at the 45 Winthrop St. library.
The sale is cash only; proceeds go toward supporting the Friends’ mission and initiatives, including the Museum and Park Pass program, the Teen Book Boxes, and the Wifi Hotspot lending program, according to a news release from the Friends.
Donations can be dropped off prior to the sale on Mondays and Thursdays at the library. The staff will accept all items except magazines, textbooks, encyclopedias, condensed books and books that are falling apart.
