WALDOBORO — The run has come to an end for the Augusta Little League 12U All-Stars.
The team fell 10-0 to Bangor in four innings in the Maine State Tournament championship game on Saturday.
After falling to Bangor 6-3 in the winner’s bracket final on Wednesday, Augusta was able to beat Bonny Eagle 9-3 in the elimination bracket final on Friday to regain a rematch with Bangor.
Augusta had an offensive outburst early in the tournament, which included hitting four home runs in an 8-4 win over Saco/Dayton in the winner’s bracket semifinals.
Bangor moves on to the New England regional tournament with the win.
