“Honestly, Now!” by Jack Sharkey will be presented by Freeport Players Friday-Sunday, Aug. 19-21 and 26-28, at at Freeport Performing Arts Center at 30 Holbrook St., in Freeport.
Show times are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 3 p.m. Sundays.
Directed by David Crowell, the play is a crime comedy set in a ritzy hotel. Low-lifes cavort with the upper crust on the French Riviera. There are many twists and turns of the plot about people who are not what they seem to be. An ambitious woman and her son, an American Senator, a Nebraska farm couple, a French waiter and a straight-laced banquet manager get together on the French Riviera–but who are the jewel thieves, and who are the detectives?
