FAIRFIELD — Police are searching for at least two suspects after a convenience store on the Norridgewock Road was robbed early Friday, authorities said.
The suspects were armed but Fairfield police in a brief statement did not elaborate. Authorities said money was taken from the Circle K store at 149 Norridgewock Road but declined to say how much.
Fairfield police were joined by Waterville and state police in responding to the store about 2:30 a.m. Friday, but the suspects had fled by the time they arrived.
The store clerk was the only person in the store at the time and was not hurt. No other information was available from police.
It was the second time that Circle K was robbed this year. Two people from Waterville were arrested in May after police say the pair robbed the store.
