Kennebec Land Trust staff, board members and supporters plan to meet Sunday, Aug. 21, for the trust’s 2022 annual meeting.
The meeting will be held at Camp Androscoggin, 126 Leadbetter Road on Androscoggin Lake in Wayne.
People can help celebrate another successful year of promoting land conservation through the Kennebec River and Lakes Region, according to a news release from the trust.
Founded in 1988, Kennebec Land Trust has conserved more than 7,500 acres and constructed more than 55 miles of trails on KLT lands.
The schedule is as follows:
• Optional morning paddle to Norris Island: KLT staff will lead an optional paddle to Norris Island from Camp Androscoggin on Androscoggin Lake. Those interested can email Marie Ming at [email protected];
• 10:30-11:30 a.m. Guided walk at the Perkins Woods Preserve; meet at Camp Androscoggin;
• Noon-12:30 p.m. A bring-your-own picnic lunch; beverages will be provided; and
• 12:30-1:30 p.m. Annual meeting, awards and intern presentations.
