The International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers District Lodge 4, along with IAM Local S6, plans to hold a one-day motorcycle ride to benefit Guide Dogs of America and Operation Reboot Outdoors on Saturday, Aug. 20.
All riders and the public are invited to participate, according to a news release from IAMAW District Lodge 4.
The event will kick off at 10 a.m. at L-A Harley Davidson, 839 Main St. in Lewiston, and will be around 50 miles, with rest stops along the way. At L-A Harley-Davidson after the ride there will be food, a raffle and a hiring event for union jobs at Bath Iron Works.

Guide Dogs of America empowers blind and visually impaired people to live with increased independence and confidence. Operation Reboot Outdoors is an organization that offers free hunting and fishing trips and other outdoor activities to veterans and active service men and women.
IAMAW District Lodge 4 represents more than 5,000 workers in Maine and New Hampshire. IAMAW Local S6 represents 4,300 workers at Bath Iron Works.
