Peter “Pete” E. Johnson Sr.

BURNHAM – Peter “Pete” E. Johnson Sr., 63, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Aug. 30, 2022, in Burnham.

Peter was born on April 17, 1959, in Gouldsboro, Maine, the son of the late Shirley and Thelma (Haycock) Johnson. He recently retired after 40-plus years, rolling down the road as a long haul trucker. He worked for many companies over the years, making many friends along the way. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need.

He was predeceased by his parents; brothers: Clarence, Lawrence, and Lewis “Buddy”; and sisters: Debbie, Lottie, and Maxine.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine; daughters: Danielle (Roger), Caryn (Tracy), Toni, Kimberly, and Amanda; sons: Edward (Michelle) and Peter Jr. He will fondly be remembered as Grampa and Papa to Roger Jr. “RJ”, Dylan, Carter Jo, Harper, Brentley, Emerson, Bronwyn, Antonio, Yinelly, Luis, and Ethan. He is also survived by his sisters: Alice and Arlene (Harry); brothers: Dale and Barry; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends over the years, too many to list, but please know he cherished you all.

Heaven has gained a one of a kind angel. He will forever be in our hearts until we meet again.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022, at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield, Maine. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at the Village Cemetery, Peltoma Ave., Pittsfield.
