LARGO, Fla. – Theresa G. (Duclos) Picard, passed peacefully from this earth on Aug. 29, 2022, in Largo, Fla. at the age of 95.

Theresa was born in Augusta on Oct. 21, 1926 and graduated from Cony High in 1946. She held various jobs in the Augusta area before marrying the love of her life, J. Gilbert Picard in 1954. The moved to Waterville early in their marriage, and she worked at Seton and Thayer Hospitals until her retirement.

Her children and grandchildren moved her to Largo, Fla. in 2019 to spend more quality time with her.

Theresa is survived by her two children, David Picard of Groveport, Ohio and Diane (Picard) Bennett, and her husband Richard, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and her grandchildren Scott Bennett, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Brian Bennett and his partner, Laura Johnson, of Clearwater, Fla. She also leaves behind close family and friends, including her best friend, Wilma Carter, of Winslow, whom she spoke to faithfully every morning and every evening.

She was predeceased by her husband, J. Gilbert Picard.

A Catholic Mass will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 11 a.m. at Notre Dame Church, in Waterville, followed by burial at St. Francis Cemetery.
