SKOWHEGAN — The fourth annual Maine’s Garlic Festival is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 1-2. The event will be held on the west side island at Lake George Regional Park, 58 West Lake George Park Lane.
Both days will start at 9:30 a.m. and end at 6 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday, according to a news release from Darryll White, Lake George Regional Park director.
Live music both days will feature local bands such as Lee Sykes, Matt and the Barnburners, Sharon Hood and Dixon Road, Brian Richmond, Clay Camero and Sagittarius Rising. Saturday’s music will be more up tempo, and Sunday will be more folk-oriented.
The event will include an opportunity to sample fresh garlic creations and local produce, along with food and local craft spirits. There will be local artwork, artisan crafts, and recreation activities along with plenty of activities for children.
The event is hosted by Crazy 4 Garlic farm in Canaan and Lake George Regional Park.
Admission will cost $5 for adults and is free for children 12 and younger.
