
EAST WINTHROP — Kennebec Land Trust and Michaeline Mulvey, president of the Maine Mycological Association, plan to host a mushroom walk at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6.
People can look for and learn about mushrooms at the Weston Woods Preserve.
Mulvey will talk about habitat requirements, collection techniques, identification methods, book and website resources, cooking and preservation, and toxicity cautions. She will also answer questions, according to a news release Marie Ring at the trust.
Registration is required; attendance is limited. The cost is $15, or $10 for trust members.
