Barbara Ross, author of the Maine Clambake Mysteries and the Jane Darrowfield Mysteries, is scheduled to give a presentation Wednesday, Oct. 19, during Vose Library’s annual Soup & Suspense event at 293 Common Road in Union.
The event will be held in person and via Zoom, according to a news release from Diane True, library assistant.
Soup will be ready at 6:30 p.m. with a suggested donation of $5, followed by the 7 p.m. presentation and Q&A.
Ross’ books have been nominated for multiple Agatha Awards for Best Contemporary Novel and have won the Maine Literary Award for Crime Fiction. The Portland resident’s Maine Clambake novellas are included along with stories by Leslie Meier and Lee Hollis in holiday anthologies from Kensington Publishing.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
