AUGUSTA — The high school soccer playoff fields were finalized Monday, and a few central Maine teams earned high seeds.
The Hall-Dale girls soccer team (14-0), dominant from Day 1 this fall, is the top seed in Class C South. The Bulldogs have allowed just one goal, and that came in a 10-1 victory over Madison in mid-September.
Elsewhere in girls Class C South, Maranacook (13-0-1) — the defending state champ — is the No. 2 seed while Mt. Abram (10-3-1) and Monmouth/Winthrop (11-3-0) follow.
In Class C South boys playoff action, Mt. Abram (13-1-0) is the No. 2 seed while Monmouth (11-2-1) is No. 3. Maranacook (9-3-2) is seeded fourth. Waynflete (12-1-1) is the top seed.
The Winslow boys soccer team (13-0-1) is the No. 2 seed in Class B North. The Black Raiders, led by standout forward Andrew Poulin, have won 12 straight. On the girls side, Waterville (10-3-1) earned the No. 4 seed.
The Richmond girls (10-4-0) are seeded second in Class D South while the Bobcat boys (10-3-1) are fourth.
In Class A North, the Mt. Blue girls (11-3-1) are the fourth seed.
