Paul LePage got out of Maine as quickly as he could when his term ended four years ago so that he wouldn’t have to pay taxes here. That’s right. He had no interest in helping us pay for our roads, our schools, our government services, etc. Now he’s back to try to get us to pay him a salary again; apparently he’ll be fine with living here if we’ll pay his way.
Janet Mills, on the other hand, has spent her entire career serving the people of the state of Maine. You might not agree with all of her decisions, but her commitment to this state and to its people is unquestionable. LePage spent his time in office undermining the education system; Mills got Maine’s schools fully funded for the first time in years. The choice is clear.
