Grace E. Ridlon

CONCORD, N.H. – Grace E. Ridlon, 88, a resident of North Monmouth and Middleton, N.H., passed away peacefully, Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022, at Pleasant View Nursing Health Care Center in Concord, N.H.

She was born Dec. 27, 1933, the daughter of Moncena Burnham and Myrtle (Lamson) Burnham. She was a 1952 graduate of Monmouth Academy. She worked for the State of Maine in the Legislation for 10 years and a personal secretary for Governor Brennen for eight years.

Grace was an avid reader, enjoyed word puzzles, and she was a charter member of the National Honor Society of Monmouth Academy. She loved spending time with her family, especially when she got to see her grandsons and great-grandson, they brought her much happiness. She was greatly loved by so many in her life and will be forever missed.

Grace is survived by her son, Scott Ridlon of Middleton, N.H.; grandsons Seth Ridlon and wife Dawn of New Durham, N.H, and their sons, Garrett and Grady Ridlon and Ian Ridlon and wife Jen of Gilmanton, N.H.; two brothers, Richard Burnham and Ralph Burnham and his wife Constance all of North Monmouth.

Grace was predeceased by her former husband, Sterling Ridlon; son, Jay Ridlon; brothers Reginald Burnham and Eugene Burnham.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 8 at Leeds Plains Cemetery, Plains Road, in Leeds. Arrangements by FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls.
