DEXTER and WATERVILLE – Richard Tarr, 75, died Nov. 3, 2022, at Androscoggin Hospice in Auburn.
He was born Jan. 7, 1947, in Dexter, a son of Howard and Gladys (Hall) Tarr. He attended Corinna schools and was employed at Dexter Shoe Company for 37 years. After the factory, closed he worked 10 years at Hannaford’s in Waterville. He loved Halloween and Christmas and will be remembered for his home decorations. He also collected coffee mugs from every state.
Richard is survived by a brother, Donald Tarr of Florida; two sisters, Phyllis Cleaves of Dexter and Sharon Smith of Winslow; several nieces and nephews; several grand nieces and nephews; and his cat Ruby.
A graveside committal service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, with the Rev. Lyman Curtis officiating. Those who wish may leave written condolences at http://www.CrosbyNeal.com.
