Norway Memorial Library’s Fight the Winter Blues Book Bingo is set to begin Thursday, Dec. 1.
Winter Book Bingo cards have 25 squares, each with a different subject such as classic, biography/memoir, or a book set in a favorite season. Participants will read and complete a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line of five squares to be entered in the drawing to win a bingo prize of a book of choice from a selection of books and a Norway Memorial Library book bag, according to a news release from Alana DePerte at the library.
Readers who blackout their card by reading 25 titles that correspond with the subject for every square will be entered in a drawing for the grand blackout prize of a gift certificate to Katherine’s Bakery & Cafe in Norway.
Beginning Dec. 1, pick up a Winter Bingo Book card at the information desk at the library at 258 Main St. Cards must be turned in by 3 p.m. Saturday, March 18, to be entered into the drawing. The drawing will take place on Tuesday, March 21. Winners will be notified by telephone.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
