Brian A. Trask

RANDOLPH – Brian A. Trask went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 29, 2022, at 79 years old.

He was born on Dec. 18, 1942, in Gardiner, Maine to parents Reginald B. Trask and Dorothy E. Trask. He was the youngest of three children.

Brian graduated from high school, attended college, served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and was stationed in Germany. He joined the seminary for a time, however his life had a different calling. He had an adventurous life and loved to travel; visiting many different countries throughout his life. Brian had a natural talent for being able to capture people’s attention and made even the most mundane events into a fascinating story with a witty twist of humor. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt in The Forks. He was especially keen on Lake Moxie and Knights Pond where he visited often as a child. He felt the most peace at the family camp he built on Moxie Lake. Brain was a selfless person who was always there for anyone in need.

Brain is survived by his two children, Joshua Trask and Lauren Swindells of West Gardiner, his four grandchildren, Kaylin Stade of Pittston, Ryann Trask of Edgecomb, Alexis Trask of Winslow, Davyn Swindells of West Gardiner, and wife Sherry Trask of five years. He was very excited to become a great-grandfather of a baby girl in May 2023. He was predeceased by his parents; his brothers, David Trask and Paul Trask.

There will be no immediate service.

A graveside service of Christian burial and a celebration of life is planned for the spring.

Arrangements are under the care of Kincer Funeral Home 130 Pleasant St. Richmond, Maine 04357.
