SKOWHEGAN – Catherine Harris, 75, died on Nov. 16, 2022, of natural causes.

Cathy worked at the Probate Office and then at Wright & Mills law office for 30-plus years as a capable and valued legal secretary.

Cathy was an intelligent, kind and generous woman. She loved music and played her guitar and autoharp daily. Anything to do with words was enjoyable to her keen mind. She was an avid reader, a master at paying Scrabble or Words with Friends … always a worthy opponent. She was talented doing beautiful crewel embroidery and macrame plant hangers. Cathy was dearly loved by her family and friends who will miss her thoughtful ways and her ever calm and positive disposition.

Cathy became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1968 and for 54 years she has actively volunteered her time in the Christian ministry promoting Bible education. She held the Bible’s hope of a future, peaceful, paradise earth close to her heart and loved sharing these promises with others.

Cathy was predeceased by her beloved son, Nathan Harris; also, predeceased by five brothers, Mitchell Harris, Jeff Harris, Will Harris, Jim Harris, Steve Harris and two sisters, Virginia Grim and Linda Petrell.

She is survived by her brother, Ric Harris, and sisters Ellen Cranford and Alana Shaw.

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1252 Lakewood Rd., in Madison on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. There will also be a Zoom option; ID: 85392875264 Passcode: Cathy 1947.
